This hot weather is awesome! It's so perfect for evening riding. Last night we got the Road King from Wine Country Motosport Rentals.com and cruised from Healdsburg out Hwy 128through Alexander Valley and Knights Valley to Calistoga for dinner. There are so many gorgeous rides around here, it's hard to choose, but it always seems to come down to that ride to Calistoga either for pastries and coffee in the morning, gelato in the afternoon, or dinner at any of the yummy eateries. We ought to move there so we can ride this way and enjoy some of the Healdsburg restaurants. Oh well, you can't beat the barbeque at the corner of Hwy 128 and Hwy 29. You have to go there hungry, mmm mmm mmm.
Thank you Wine County Motosport rentals.com for opening your rental shop here in Sonoma County. I thoroughly enjoy all my time in Healdsburg as you can go any direction for an awesome ride. Dry Creek to Lake Sonoma, Mendocino through Booneville to the coast, Alexander Valley to Napa Valley and Russian River Valley to Bodega Bay. I just love selecting different bikes to ride. The Yamaha Sport Bikes for the great maneuverability around the hills and sharp turns. Of Course, the big bagger Harley Davidson Cruisers make all roads smooth. I always enjoy the shear power of the big sounding Harley engine. Music to my ears. Thanks again for being there.
Thanks Wine Country Motorsport. I rented the Street Glide last weekend and my first Harley experience was awesome. We rode over to Napa on Mark West Springs and came back over to Lake Sonoma through Alexander Valley. The ride was scenic and relaxing and the bike was like new. The only thing that could have made it better is if the bike was mine.
WOW! WC Motosport Rentals had a nice selection of bikes to choose from, I chose the 2008 Harley Street Glide. They even had gear like leather jackets and gloves to use. With the airlines charging $50+ extra for overweight bags, it was cheaper to rent a jacket for $5/day to use while I’m here than to bring my own. Ann and Bob are really nice people and very helpful with suggestions for routes to take and places to go. The area is absolutely fantastic with lots of smooth, twisty roads and gorgeous views.
Yesterday, I rode along the Russian River down to the coast, then followed US 1 about 25 miles south along the coast before heading back to the hotel. Breathtaking views all along the route! Today I'm going to ride up and around Clear Lake (Bob and Ann suggested it, so I'm sure it's going to be a great ride). What a tremendous experience. I will definitely be back to rent again the next time I’m here. I highly recommend Wine Country Motosport Rentals if you’re going to be in the area. I'll blog more later in the week.
Went to Clear Lake, what a GREAT ride!!! The mountain roads are twisty and the lake is beautiful. The Street Glide runs like a champ and handles the curves surprisingly well. Again, hats off to Bob & Ann for suggesting this ride. I’m having a wonderful time sightseeing, I just wish I could get more pictures. If I stopped at every great view to take a picture I wouldn’t get too far…. The weather couldn’t be better, sunny and temps in the low to mid 80’s. It does get a little chilly in the evening and down by the coast so I’m glad I rented the jackets and gloves too.
